I’ve been carrying around this secret and literally walking around in a dream state since I found out the shop won this award, it was the day before the Atown block party that we received the call and I don’t even know how I made it through that event, I was stunned, delighted and happy beyond belief. I’ve lost sleep so many nights – in a good way – so excited!

We are honored to be recognized nationally as America’s Finest Optical for 2025 by Invision Magazine, a lovey optical magazine I look forward to reading every month, fresh, sometimes a little bit sassy, and always relevant! I’m so proud of the little shop that could and my team for elevating us to this award!

It was a thorough application process where I had to write about our business, submit reviews, our website, photos of the shop, basically everything that makes Specs what it is. I’m proud of this little shop, I’m honored, and mostly what has come through the loudest in my thoughts, is I’m so freaking proud of our town!! 

Atascadero has been known for businesses coming and going, and I was so scared to open but guessed that the timing was right for something different. Something not inexpensive but that would bring quality and get noticed. You guys have shown up in a big way. I say this all the time, but you looking good in your eyewear is my best business card. Thank you for your referrals, your online reviews, your love and your support. I wouldn’t be here without YOU!

Also, we’d like to invite you to our next event, a trunk show featuring our newest line, TAVAT Eyewear, our only Italian brand, and they are gooooood! Handmade by Italian craftsman, each frame takes over 6 months to produce. We are over the moon to be able to have the owner and designer of the line, Roberta, with us, from Italy (!!!!), for the evening of 8/20, Wednesday, from 4-7pm. 

We will also be hosting Tess again, of Tess Davis Jewelry – because her work pairs perfectly with eyewear. 😉 and I just love her. In addition, Riley of Hubba Wines will be donating her time and pouring sips of her delightful work. 

ECHO will also be here in the courtyard, presenting info about their newest project and a percentage of the evening’s proceeds, from Tess and Specs, will be donated to ECHO. Learn more about how they are supporting our community here.
