December news!

Well, November was kinda sucky with Covid finally catching up to me and my husband almost cutting his finger off while working on our bathroom remodel. Moving on to December already please!

Excited to announce our next Art & Wine collaboration, hosted by Atascadero Chamber of Commerce, 12/2/22 from 5-8:30. Tickets for the event can be purchased here but no ticket needed to stop in and admire the artwork! I may even sneak you a taste of wine. Hubba Wines, owned by a rockstar lady, will be pouring.

Our featured artists for the evening, and actually the whole month, will be the ladies of Page of Art History Janet Wallace and Jenna Hartzell collaborated to create a learning experience for kids of all ages, a cultural art experience that is FUN. Coloring is a centering calming activity that can get us off of our screens, and they have drawn pages based on historical art. Both ladies have art history degrees and are brilliantly creative. They offer a monthly subscription to online printable coloring pages and will be selling little postcard sized art kits at Specs through the month of December. Jenna will also have her gorgeous botanical prints available for purchase as well.

Because December is the month of giving, and foster care/adoption are close to our hearts, the 3 of us will also be donating a percentage of the month’s sales to Kinship Center, an organization that supports families on the Central Coast. I have also been grateful to establish a partnership with Kinship to donate eyewear to kids in need, with the generosity of one of my frame lines 141 Eyewear. 141 (one for one) gives one frame for each pair purchased and the company allows us to incorporate this in our own community. The company is based out of Portland, OR, optician owned, and super high quality for kiddos who can be tough on their eyewear.

Last but not least, as we wrap up another year, I’d be honored to win your vote on The Best of North County SLO for Best Eyewear. I was so excited, and honestly shocked!!, to win last year after being open for only 6 months, and I’d be thrilled to win again.

Thank you for your support and for loving fun eyewear!
